XiUS Privacy

Problem : If you want that particular group users can search and see the respective information or you want to apply accessibility criteria like search ability, visibility and sort-ability on your site Users.

Solution : XiUS have privacy feature by which you can set the criteria on the respective information. For example,

1. If you want that employee information is only visible to registered users and only Manager can search through Salary information then Joomla Privacy fulfil your requirement.
2. If you want that only your friend can search data through Profile fields then JomSocial Privacy fulfill your requirement.
3. If you want that only Cricket Profile Type members can search data through Rating then JSPT Profiletypes Privacy fulfil your requirement.
4. If you are using JomSocial Multi-Profiles instead of JSPT ProfileTypes and want to apply privacy on JomSocial Multi-Profiles then JS MultiProfiletypes Privacy fulfil your requirement.

Feature

1. XiUS Privacy provides a controlling on accessibility criteria which are:
   • Search-ability
   • Visibility (on mini profile)
   • Sort-ability
2. Joomla Privacy: You can apply accessibility criteria on following Joomla user group:
   • All
   • Registered
   • Publisher
   • Author
   • Editor
   • Manager
   • Administrator
   • Super Administrator (No condition will be applied to this type of user, will be able to access all information)
   • Guest (Not logged in user)
3. JomSocial Privacy: You can apply accessibility criteria on following JomSocial groups:
   • Public: Any kind of user can access the information.
   • Members: All JomSocial members can access the information.
   • Friends: Friends of information creator can access the information.
   • Private: Only information creator (administrator) can access the information.
4. JSPT Profiletypes Privacy: You can apply accessibility criteria on JSPT Profiletype members. For example, If you have 3 different  profiletypes and want to search data according to profilefields of specific profiletype then it can be possible.
5. JS MultiProfiletypes Privacy: You can apply accessibility criteria on JomSocial Multi-Profiles members. For example, If you have 3 different multi-profiles and want to search data according to profilefields of specific JS profiletype then it can be possible.
6. These feature are easily configurable when you create information.

How to Configure

These are the steps to apply XiUS Privacy features:

1. Create an information on which you want to apply accessibility criteria.
2. See Information parameter setting page, Apply each kind of Privacy as explained:
   • Joomla Privacy:
     1. Go to General Parameter -> "Accessible User Group".
     2. Select Joomla Groups which can search data through search panel.
   • JomSocial Privacy: To apply this feature, First of all, it is needed to enable JS Privacy Plugin.
     
     1. Go to Privacy Parameter -> "JomSocial Privacy".
     2. Select JomSocial Groups which can search data through search panel.
   • JSPT Profiletypes Privacy: To apply this feature, First of all, JSPT should be properly installed and need to enable XiPT ProfileTypes Plugin.
     
     1. Go to Privacy Parameter -> "Accessible Profile Type".
     2. Select JSPT ProfileTypes by which users can search data through search panel.
   • JS MultiProfiletypes Privacy: To apply this feature, First of all, JS MultiProfiles should be enabled through JomSocial>>Configurations and need to enable JS MultiProfileTypes Privacy Plugin.
     
     1. Go to Privacy Parameter -> "Js Multiprofile Privacy".
     2. Select JS MultiProfiles by which users can search data through search panel.
3. Save the information.

Note :

1. All the above explanation is similar for User List Privacy  also.
2. Either use JSPT Profiletypes privacy(If JSPT is installed) or JS MultiProfiles privacy. Both privacy plugins can not work together.
