XiUS Module: Proximity Search

Problem: If you want a search panel on every page of your website by which you want to search users through keyword and location. For example, If you want Google Map on your website by which anyone can search members of particular location of your site.

Solution: Through XiUS Proximity Search module, It is possible to search keyword and location of users in much more easier, simpler and better way.

How to Use

These are the steps to use XiUS Proximity Search Module:

1. Create Information for Keyword and Proximity (By Information or By Google API)
2. Go to Module Manager and open mod_xiusproximity module.
3. Enable the module, set module's position.
4. Set Module Parameters as described below:
   • Proximity: If Proximity Search is "By Information" type then select Information option. If Proximity Search is "By Google API" type then select Google option.
   • Proximity Parameters: Select option Map, Address, My Location as required:
     • Map: If you want to show Google map to select the location then set Map.
     • Address: If you want to show Input box to write searching location then set Address.
     • My Location: If you want to search through user's location then set My Location.
   • Distance: Set either Miles or Kms for distance parameter. Module display on selection on Kms is as below.
     
   • Color: Set module color either Gray or Blue according to your website requirement. Module display on gray color is as shown.
     
5. Save the Module. It will be then shown at your front-end as displayed.
