PayPlans Integration

If you want to offer paid membership in your JomSocial based community website. You can use PayPlans. Learn how to configure PayPlans.

If PayPlans is used with JSPT then user can be assigned a particular profiletype according to his/her subscription status.

Configuring PayPlans
  1. Install latest version of PayPlans. Perform all steps for Installation and Setup. Click here to know how to Set up PayPlans.
  2. Now go to Components -» PayPlans -» Apps. Create Apps for PayPal and JoomlaXi Profile Types. Click here to know how to create Apps.
  3. Now go to Components -» PayPlans -» Plans. Create Plans for each profiletype and attach PayPal and JSPT Apps to these plans. Click Here to know how to create Plans. [Note: make sure same plan should not be attached to two or more JSPT apps having same "on status update" option but different profiles, otherwise two profile types will be assigned to user on subscription status update.]
  4. Go to PayPlans ->> Configuration and select Registration Type to allow registration.
Setting up PayPlans with JSPT
  1. Verify that in PayPlans, Apps and Plans exist or not for each JSPT Profiletype.
  2. Through this way, you can ensure what profile type is assigned to user when he subscribes to a plan.
  3. Go to JSPT->Settings and Set 'Integrate Registration' to 'No'.
  4. Default Profiletype which you have set through JSPT-Settings will be assigned to user during registration in case of 'JomSocial' registration type. His profiletype can further be changed as per changes in his subscription status (eg :- subscription-active, subscription-expire, etc.)

Registration Flow

Registration flow at front end will be as follow:

  1. Click on PayPlans Subscription menu link.
  2. Select a Plan which you want to buy.
  3. Click on 'Proceed Registration' button.
  4. After that Registration flow works.
  5. Profiletype will be assigned to user on activation of subscription( if respective app exists).
