Configure Component

Learn how to set up and configure the JSPC Component for your Site.

Concept of completeness

Weightage : Weightage is the contribution of particular rule in total weightage of all the published rules. It is just like a student's scorecard in which each subject has some contibution in total maximum marks.

Percentage : Percentage is the percentage of user's profile which he/she has completed in other words it is the percentage of weightage which user have been completed. Like student's percentage of marks which have been scored by him/her.

Configuration

JSPC works on rules, by which a user's profile completeness is calculated. Therefore you need to create some rules, by which profile completeness can be shown.

  1. To create rules goto # Administrator -> components -> JSPC.
  2. The window show the rules created.
  3. To create new rules click on Add Feature.
  4. The Profile Completeness window will open. You can create multiple rules for one feature. So you need to select a feature(addon), whose rule you want to create. After selecting the feature click on Next button to go to the next step of creating rule.
  5. Which has some parameters.  which need to be configured on every rules.
Parameters for rules
  • Name : This parameter shows the name of the addon selected on previous page for creating a rule.
  • Feature Name : This is the name for rules. It is for your reference purpose, and will not be shown to user at any place.
  • Published : If this is set to yes then this rule will be used for calculating any user's profile completeness.
  • Contribution in Percentage : This shows the contribution of this rule in overall profile completeness.
  • Total Addon Contribution : This parameter specifies the total weightage of this rule in profile completeness.
  • Display Text : The text defined in this parameter will be shown on front end as the incomplete feature. %s can be used to show the remaining number of quantity to complete the rule.
  • Profile Type : By default the rule is applicable to all users so it is set to 'all'. You can apply this rule as per profile type of user if  JSPT is installed.
  • Addon Parameters : This parameter has different parameter for different addon. The addon parameter defines the count of the particular feature to compete for fulfilling the rule created. These parameters vary as per the nature of rule.
